Towable tubes have come a long way since being not much more than an old tractor inner tube in a bag. Ree's new Aquaglide Retro 3 is a much more sophisticated affair than those old those tubes that would turn over at the first wave. The Retro 3 has a low centre of gravity for stability, flared sides for hard cornering and a secure and comfortable backrest. This doughnut will permit you to reach insane speeds in safety. It can accommodate three adults or 4-5 kids. Alternatively, it can be let out behind the yacht on it's rope while we are at anchor to provide a nice cool spot to sit in for reading or relaxing with your toes in the sea.

In selecting new inflatable Paddles Boards for Ree we went straight for the best: Red Paddle Co's range of boards are the stiffest, most durable and best riding on the market. The models we chose are a 10'6'' Ride, noted for being an excellent all rounder, manoeuvrable enough for learners but still capable in more challenging conditions. Then, for those with their eyes on the distant horizon, a 12'6" Explorer model, long narrow and fast!

Instead of the usual poor excuse for Kayaks found on many charter yachts, Ree is equipped with two well designed new Perception Triumph 13's. These are fitted with foot operated rudders, sealed storage compartments, fishing rod holders and come with top notch paddles, fully adjustable for blade pitch. These performance Kayaks make possible not just a pleasant means of getting to the beach from the yacht, but can also be loaded up with snorkel and picnic gear and paddled comfortably for extended periods, in fact as far from the yacht as your curiosity takes you. The sit-on-top style with sit inside performance makes them safe for beginners but will not disappoint more experienced paddlers.

Two 6' Gat-ku polespears used primarily for Lionfish hunting in the Caribbean. Lionfish are an invasive species originally native to the Indo-Pacific ocean that were accidentally introduced into Caribbean waters and have since proliferated. It is voracious feeder of other fish fry and has no natural predators. Once located, they are easily caught with a polepsear as they are small and rather docile, but must be handled with extreme care due to their venomous spines. The good news is once these spines are removed the fish makes excellent eating. Thus guests may have the satisfaction of catching their own dinner while helping to control this threat to the Caribbean reef ecosystem.

Snorkels, Masks, and Fins

One of the great features of a yacht charter for the would be underwater explorer is the opportunity to experience different vista practically each time we move from anchorage to, anchorage, Island to Island. We take snorkelling seriously on SY Ree. Not only have we carefully selected the best equipment that we maintain in as new condition, we take time to make sure you are correctly fitted and made familiar with proper technique - there is nothing more distracting than fins that make your feet sore or a mask that does not quite fit so that it leaks every time you turn head to look at something Or being the one in the group spluttering with a mouth full of salt water at each wave because you have not been shown where to position your snorkel to best effect. For the more experienced we can provide you with basic instruction in breath hold techniques to help you stay under longer and dive deeper.
